Cirrus Research announces the introduction of the new doseBadge5, the latest version of the innovative doseBadge® Noise Dosimeter. This available exclusively through Runrite Electronics in the South African Market.
The doseBadge5 is a result of 20 years’ development of the original doseBadge® Noise Dosimeter concept, with over 20,000 units having been sold worldwide. Trusted in Southern Africa for years by industry and Occupational Hygienists alike the new doseBadge promises to uphold the legacy of simplicity and accuracy.
The latest incarnation introduces a range of new features, whilst maintaining the original ‘no cables, controls or display’ design philosophy that symbolises the doseBadge.
Designed for anyone who needs to measure, assess and manage occupational noise exposures, the doseBadge5 can be configured to meet any regulations, standards or guidelines worldwide.
The new doseBadge5 is a true multi-channel instrument with one-second data logging of all channels. It provides up to four completely independent noise dosimeters, alongside two peak channels, Lmax and Lmin values and user configurable ULT (Upper Limit Threshold) levels allowing the instrument to meet any occupational noise standard, both now and in the future.
A key feature of the new doseBadge5 is the Bluetooth® wireless technology that allows the instrument to communicate with the doseBadge5 Wand and the dBLink App for Android and iOS devices. Individual doseBadge5 units can be controlled and configured remotely and measurement data viewed without having to connect or touch the instrument.
The instruments can also be controlled using scheduled timers, allowing measurements to be started, paused and stopped automatically without user intervention. This unique feature was developed to help customers easily manage complex working patterns and shifts as well as allowing the doseBadge5 to be as flexible as possible.
The doseBadge5 also now has intelligent charging with the device controlling its own charger to combat overcharging so it can prolong battery life to more than 20 hours and also includes anti-tamper and vibration detection to cut down on measurement anomalies.
General Manager of Runrite Electronics Justin Goldblatt says “We are excited to partner with Cirrus Research on this product launch. Cirrus has a strong reputation for quality instruments, backed by strong research and development. The new doseBadge5 is the next step in noise dosimetry. The doseBadge5 is the ideal solution for anyone who needs to accurately measure and assess personal noise exposures.”
